Algonquin and Iroquois via the more popular up and back route. Trail was wet and muddy, the way it's been in the Adirondacks this rainy summer. Slabs from Wright junction to summit of Algonquin were slippery, tough on our way back (not much to hold on to - even butt sliding was sketchy). From Algonquin to Iroquois was hiking bliss - comfortable ups and downs with doable scrambles (or walkarounds).

We brought rain ponchos and bug spray.

The day went from iffy weather (cool, misty) up to Algonquin, to absolutely beautiful with open skies and just a bit of wind when we reached Iroquois, then to rain halfway down on the return. http://summithikinginnewengland.blogspot.com/2017/08/algonquin-and-iroquois-adk-171846-new.html
