All trails in excellent condition.

Didn't really stop on Algonquin or Iroquois for very long. There was no wind and some very small insects (no-see-ums?) on top of Wright. They didn't seem to be biting, but were annoying (although no one else looked like they were being bothered by them!). Must say that by the time we headed up Wright, my legs were feeling tired. It may say 0.4 miles from the fork, but it's a steep 0.4 miles. According to the fellow at the cash in the store at the bottom, the day was a total of 11 miles and 4,000 feet elevation gain.

Excellent day, loads of people out. We arrived at 8:30 and the parking was already full. Fortunately we were only a couple minutes walk from the parking lots. And things were filling up quickly. Within 5 minutes there were another 6 cars parked behind us. According to the ranger I spoke with, there were 20% more people than average in July just at that trail head (10,000 vs. 8,000). Our secret is being discovered. Even with more people, it didn't take away from the pleasure of the day. There was still plenty of quiet, uncrowded time spent on the trails.
