Had a great hike up Algonquin & Iroquois last week (6/30/04). The weather was on the cool side, and there was a pretty significant breeze on top, but nothing to worry about. I had climbed Algonquin back in 1971, but a pretty strong thunderstorm, with plenty of wind and cold rain, prevented the trek to Iroquois back then.

I left a few shots of the panoramas, etc., on my web page. Jump to www.whitelief.com/algonquin.htm for the fruits of my web labors of today.

Cheers.

Nice photos!

I also missed Iroquios this past february (feet were sore from poor hiking boots). Looks as beautiful in the summer as it did in winter. Looking forward to this hike next Sunday.

The views from Mt Jo are nice as well... being bare-rock on top certainly helps, but it's in a prime location to see the high peaks region. :)

Have fun on Iroquois

If you grab a disposable walking stick from down low on Algonquin (any old branch will do) and leave it on the muddy section of the trail on Iroquois, that would certainly help keep the next person's feet drier. Just a suggestion, if you happen to see any such sticks around.

And thanks for the compliment on the photos.
