Muddy from the Loj to the big waterfall. Ice/snow "monorail" and slushy snow beyond.
Ice/snow on the steep "chute" just below treeline. Crampons/microspikes helpful
but barebooting is OK. Snowshoeing is over. No bugs!! Temps in the 40's. Completely clear above treeline. Nice visibility from the summit.
