Began late, barebooted until the first icy brook, then microspikes. The trail becomes a river of ice near the Wright junction. I changed to my new trail crampons and used these until the bare rock at which point I barebooted to the summit. Algonquin was essentially the same--ice river to bare summit. 3-4 inches of snow on the way to Iroquois with some ice on the ascent. Windy on Algonquin, but beautiful on Iroquois with cloudless skies. I walked out into the sunset. What an incredible December day.
