6 to 8 inches of snow over a firm base. Very good for snowshoeing, EXCEPT in certain spots where recent melted-out wet areas are covered with a thin bit of ice and snow. Primarily these are encountered on the 'cutoff' portion of the trail between the nice logging road sections, and from the gravel pit to the height of land of the low ridge, and again for a short stretch after crossing Skylight Brook.

Last steep bit up to summit in good shape - firm snow, little to no blowdown, even a bit of flagging and some trail-cutting here and there. Crampons not required - Snowshoes with aggressive teeth work fine.
