Very long and very muddy! The river crossing that we were concerned with was easy. Never more than knee deep at the crossing. Trail well marked and obvious. A lot of water and slime on the slide making it extremely slippery. Everywhere else it was easy walking with some long areas of mud. Bugs not a factor. We made it in 12 hours, almost to the minute. If there is such a thing as waterproof boots, this is the hike for them! Ours leaked but still comfortable. Out of 37 peaks this was probably the toughest. There were 2 other parties out there Monday including maybe 7 kids, about 13 years old. They should be real proud as its a tough hike and shows some real grit. I was proud for them!!! Chris W.
