Allen Mountain thurs, Jan 27.
We tried for but didn't summit Allen on Sunday. Now there's a ski trail that has seen 6 passages nicely set for the first 5 or so miles. Then there's a snowshoes trail to the edge of private land about 1/2 mi. west of Skylight Brook. We plan on returning thursday. If you're interested in doing Allen the conditions couldn't be better.
