Some how it's looking like Spring might be starting to happen in the White Mountains of NH. I've always wanted to Photo the Alpine Gardens in their "Peak"!
Also the Lupine of the Franconia and Sugar Hill areas.
Was wondering if anyone had any insight to the Status of the vegetion.
Looks as if it is going to come quick and short lived...as always!
I've been told that June 15th is the average date for the Alpine Gardens. Lupine...I'm not sure about.

I've tried the Alpine garden a number of times in June; it's mostly been a bust. I think my best shot came quite early one June when I was ascending Lion Head and Tucks. I didn't even take the Alpine Garden trail that time. It's the one time I've seen any of the pink or purple.

The Lupine, on the other hand, have always been good on Valley Road in Jefferson during the last two weeks of June.

Thanx Bob. I am going to keep an Eye on things up there via the Observatory WebCams. Right now there still looks like alot of Snow.
