Considering Washington this weekend from the loop above. My question is this:

In an attempt to cut some mileage off, can you park at the Cog Station rather than the hiker parking lot and if so, is the Jewell Trail re-opened to hike back out at same location (cog station) or is it still relocated to exit on Base Rd across for the hiker parking lot?

Thanks

There is a sign at the lower parking lot of the cog directing hikers were to park. The Jewell enters and exits about 50 yards up the tracks. There are several blue sticks that mark the spot where to enter the woods. Also, both routes are currently broken out.

The weekend looks promising...

I know of literally 17 different groups/couples/solo hikers who have their eye on Washington for this weekend. If the weather is good and they all show, plus the dozens I obviously don't know about, then you can probably just follow the parade of people up the trails. It'll be a multi-state hiking convention. :D

Does anyone know if there's a cut off to the Cog lot from Jewell ? I've only parked at the trailhead lot and never looked for a way back to the Cog lot from the Jewell.
