anyone hiked CT/NY AT recently?

I have not seen any trail conditions posted recently, and was wondering if anyone had hiked out there recently. I will be spending Thanksgiving weekend at my parents' house, and would like to get in a dayhike on Friday. I am leaning towards Shaghticoke Mountain, near New Milford.

So what should I expect for conditions, and bring in terms of equipment?

I haven't been up there recently but am planning on being there next Saturday (CT AT). I would wait until Thursday to see how the conditions will be since some rain/snow is expected then.

AT in NY

I was on the AT in the Bear Mountain area today. All the leaves have fallen and are obscuring the rockiness of the trail. I do not know the AT through CT but in the Bear Mountain and Harriman areas, due to the leaves and not being able to rocks, it was pretty tough going when I went away from the mopre heavily travelled sections on Bear Mountain proper.
Aside from the leaves, the trail traffic was surprisingly light for such a beautiful November Sunday.
