arethusa falls, hiked on 4 22 2013, via arethusa trail. wonderful short hike and great time to see falls with good amount of water going over and also still some verticle ice. trail started off dry but changed over to some wet areas and by the time we reached the falls, still about 12 to 18 inches of snow in the ravine. suggest micro spikes or yaks. we used yaks and that is all the traction we needed. 3 blowdowns but no problem. trail is in great condition and maintained very well.
