A LOT late but thanks is always a good thing.
This is a Trailwrights adopted trail (The only one) outing to get our basic maint. done for the winter. With help from the "international community" (Motabobo,Jean-Francois,and Marjorie) and Trailwrights Peg,Dan,Brewster,Gregg and Trailwright Bratt we accomplished more than just cleaning all drainages and waterbars which was the purpose for the day.
We hardened a wet section at the jct. of Bald/Bluff Trails thanks a lot for Marjorie's rolling rock to use.
Installed one earth waterbar on Bald mtn. mid section. Reset the sign to Bald mtn. under Dans supervision. (after 3 tries!)
Installed one rock waterbar and 3 granite steps.
Moved the trailhead sign a little bit up from the parking area again under the supervision of Marjorie this time. (one try). Of course all the work was to Motabobos liking at least that is what he said.
Unfortunately we all headed home because of the impending snow storm and did not get to socialize as in the past but we owe all some pizza at a later date.
8 hard working people x 7 1/2 hours total 60 hours.
It was a fun day on the chilly side but lots of warming Humor. My thanks to ALL.
