Beautiful day in the mountains yesterday with mostly sunny skies and virtually no wind. Avalon trail to Willey packed out nicely. Used snowshoes all the way but microspikes may have been fine. Trail over to Willey difficult to follow at times with drifting snow having covered sections leaving no trace of the trail. Was able to relocate the trail easily, however, on several occasions with minor bushwacking. Alone most of the day but ran into Dan from Mass. and had a nice time sharing a bit of the hike down.
