Backpacking in Baxter State Park, 9/22-9/27/18

We had a terrific five-night backpack in Baxter State Park, 9/22-9/27. Our itinerary was as follows:

Sat 9/22 - Roaring Brook to Russell Pond
Sun 9/23 - Russell Pond to Wassataquoik Lake Island
Mon 9/24 - 2nd night on Wass. Lake Island
Tue 9/25 - Wass. Lake Island to Davis Pond
Wed 9/26 - Davis Pond to Chimney Pond
Thu 9/27 - Chimney Pond to Roaring Brook, and out.

We helped carry an injured hiker up to Russell Pond late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

A rewarding but rugged trip. Sustained strong wind and rain made the trip from Davis to Chimney a bit unpleasant.
