I'll try to keep this short.

Friday, hiked up around 6:00, met lurker 'Andy' at trailhead. He camped Friday night, hiked out Saturday AM. Seemed to have a good time.

Saturday met Halite, Crazy Pace, EarthNSky (sp?), Robbin (sp?), etc. We hung out in the cabin most of Saturday since it was windy, foggy and rainy. 0 views, but a few brews! :D I'll let the others add or post their own versions of their weekends.

Sunday was great! We could see all the way to Connecticut! It was clear, not too hot, nice breezes. Lots of people showed up, some just passing thru, some stopped to talk. Some folks from the fire tower preservation groups showed up. It was really great to chat with them!

Hiked out by about 5:30. Off to dinner, and a hot shower! :D

good meeting ya Tom. Thanks for the help!

The cabin and fire tower atop Balsam Lake is really sweet!
You too!

Yup! It sure is! A lot of people worked really hard to save/restore the site.

Thanks for your hospitality. Rob and I enjoyed sharing beers and hiking stories with you and Laurie. The fire tower and cabin really make for a unique peak experience!

It was a pleasure meeting you and Laurie. iAnd t was fun sharing hiking stories over fine brew. I look forward to meeting up w/ you and Laurie on the trails again soon. I just hope that Halite is with me again so that he can carry the beer.
