Well, a whole bunch of us met at RedBones and ate and drank before the show. I thought though the films were very good they didn't compare to the ones from the Tuesday showing. My favorite of the night was Ouray Ice. The funniest part of the night was watching Carmel change into "appropriate attire" for the evening. She took Liza and I at our word that it was "HOT" in the theater. Congrats to "Regular Brian" who won Dunham boots . . .

It was a wonderful time - Redbones seems like a pretty cool place!!
Congrats to Regular Brian on the boots, too. I am so happy I got a chance to meet up with a few more folks from VFTT last night - I got a chance to meet Frodo, Hamtero, Pedxing and Dave Metsky - Dave,Thanks so much for the getting a ticket, I really appreciate it - and my knees also thank you for letting me take that outside seat for bit.

Quack Qauck quack quack quack

wow was it HOT in the balcony last night. Although i did feel some hints of AC after the intermission (perhaps in response to the "Open a window!" yelp from my friend).

Incidentally I was at redbones too.

I really dug the deep pow footage in Sinners, but I wish there were different film speeds. It seemed like the whole film was in slow-mo. Was it?

it was pretty toasty in there...but YES, i was prepared although darren almost convinced me to leave my "beach clothes" in the car! Although I definitely got some "what the heck are you doing" looks that were followed by some "i'm so hot i could die and wish i was in shorts too" looks...i definitely think it was a great decision!!!

last year i almost died of heat stroke AND clostrophobia in that theater...AND in my old age, i wasn't sure if my body could handle the extreme heat in there!!!

I think next year we should skip work and have a jimmy buffet beach party before the festival !!!

Next year I am going to watch the film fest somewhere else. No need for any building to be that hot in the middle of winter.....open a door! Combine the heat with the tiny wooden seats and I'm up for checking out a new venue. There must be some theater in the area that was built sometime after the average human height was 4' 8"....

Anyway, fun time with the VFTT group again this year. "Sinners" was my favorite, although I did like the cheating kayakers stuffed duck a lot...quack, quack, quack.

Big thanks to Dave for picking up the duckets.

Oh and Brian......about the boots.....since you cant even be bothered to register on the site I think you should give the boots to me. :D

This can't be reiterated enough. The seats were impossible. There was literally about 3 inches of leg room in the Balc. They should have included chiropractic services in the ticket price, after having to fold and unfold myself.

I peeped out the Orch section during intermission and they appeared to have much more room. Personally I would have preferred to Stand. (The Worcester showing is GA, I wonder if its standing room).
