In to Slant Rock and up the Shorey--at last no snow! Climb up Basin wet from the previous day's rain. Windy on top but with a good view of the remaining snow on Marcy. Saw a couple people on the top of Haystack. Wet and slick down the other side. Beautiful little field of trout lilly in full bloom at 4000ft. Up the cliff quick and dry in a gusty wind. Ore Bed ledges are wet and slimey, very slimey and so a slow slide down. Top ladder has but 4 rungs remaining. Personally, I prefer ladders to have actual rungs. Pretty pleasant walk out after all that heat.
