Simple short route up Baxter from 9N near Keene Valley; on a fine day the views can be stunning
Sprinkles of rain left the trail damp but there were only a couple spots with real mud. No blowdown. In recent years switch backs have been added making this trail much more enjoyable.
Waterproof shoes recommended
Our attempt to stay below the clouds and dance between the raindrops worked pretty well.
