Winter/Gothics summer/rocky peak ridge

I loved doing Adams last September. Going up via King Ravine and returning by the Air Line is a blast. The Subway, the ice caves, the headwall, the summit, Madison hut, Star Lake, and the ridge walk.
There is such a great variety of terrain on that hike. Having so much to see and do on the way to the summit (and back to your car) is great. It makes you feel like you've accomplished a lot. Especially with the elevation gain.

Still haven't worked my way up a winter 4k yet.

I have only done 42 of the 48 in summer and 17 in winter so these choices might change with time . . .

Best Summer - The BONDS . . . no doubt, though it was not really summer but a fall foliage hike . . .

Best Winter - Adams

It's tough to choose just one! My favorite summer 4,000 footer has to be Katahdin, which was my first. I didn't think I'd make it up there and it was a gorgeous day with amazing views. That mountain started my whole hiking obsession off!

If you're just talking NH, then Jefferson is my favorite summer hike. I love the scrambling on Caps Ridge and I've hiked the mountain three times (the most of any mountain) ... I just can't get enough of it.

It's harder for me to pick a winter one... I've only hiked five winter peaks so far. Even though I didn't hike them in calendar winter (it was the weekend after,) I'll say the Hancocks. The glissade down the south peak was incredibly fun. I'm planning to go back to slide down it again this year.
