Nearly due east of the Skookumchuck trailhead are three little mountains: Bickford (2,374 ft); Scarface (2,802 ft); Big Bickford (3,261 ft). Since bushwhacking is the only means of access, these mountains only have a few occasional visitors.

Yesterday (12-April), I visited Bickford and Scarface mountains. I know that treks such as this have limited appeal. But, for anyone interested in reading more about this hike, just CLICK on the photo below and it will take you to a report posted on my Blog.

Clicking didn't seem to work for me, I saw photo but didn't get report

Big Bickford was a great whack I did last spring in some sweet snow conditions that got me some through the trees views of Cannon. I loved it! Decided to go to Scarface after I saw a report you wrote a few weeks previous to my trip. Another dandy little peak (though I did not make it over to the view ledge). Never even thought to hit Bickford also (in fact I did not even know it had a name until now. :D) Thanks for bringing back some memories of a wonderful whack!

is this a report of a report at a further link?

The top of the page is links, the report is further down

Seems to be less snow there than several places farther south

John,

Love your blog! Not ashamed to admit that I check back in every couple days and follow it.:cool:

You are constantly giving me ideas for hikes whenever I can get back into the whites.

Back to the report: Great view of Cannon from your perch! Keep em coming!

Nice report John. Great views of Cannon from that area. Interesting info. Like the Blog!

Roy: Glad you were able to access the link!

Phil (Grouseking), and PETCH: Thanks for your nice comments. Glad you both like the Blog!
I'm going way down south to the "land of cotton" this upcoming week to visit folks, and so it might be awhile before I get out for some more hiking adventures in the Whites!
