How far in, if at all, is the road maintained to the main trailhead at Stratton Brook Pond? Has anyone done this lately or have any current info?

the last couple of winters it has maintained to just past the houses a short distance in from the highway. it's a pretty quick walk to the summer trailhead and the road gets heavy snowmobile use. i don't know the distance off the top of my head, but i don't think it's much more than a mile from there to the trailhead. parking is a bit limited, but has usually been enough for a few cars.

I can confirm what bryan said. We were there about a month ago and it was blocked off after just .1 miles, and then snowmobiled heavily till the summer trailhead.

Tomcat, are you interested in hiking this coming weekend in the R/S area?
