Bill Marcotte Finishes the Grid 2-16-2011

Today Bill Marcotte was joined by 7 of his friends as he finished the Grid on Mt. Adams. Bill is the 14th person to accomplish this amazing feat. For those who don't know, the Grid is bagging all 48 4000 foot peaks in New Hampshire in every month of the year for a total of 576 peaks. Thanks to Sue R., Vinny C., Glenn G., Scott and Chris L., and Bill's son Scott Marcotte for joining us today. After bagging Madison also, we headed down for some chocolate cake and refreshments provided by Vinny. Great day to be on the mountain today. Some wind, but with the mild air temps, it wasn't bad. Great job Bill. I think you might be, dare I say it, the most elderly grid finisher. By the way, elderly refers to your years only and not your spirit, enthusiasm, or hiking prowess!
