From Mapledale PA, the trail has 2-5" of crusty snow. I barebooted initially, then switched to snowshoes for the remainder of the hike. Bluebird skies and ice coated trees made for a fabulous hike with lots of photo opportunities.

Equipment Required: Snowshoes, windproof layers
