We were able to drive up Howe Hill Rd. to the final parking spot due to the road being frozen solid this morning, but it looks like it would be muddy and rougher when it warms up...trail had a coating of new snow start to finish..a few ice floes in the trail up higher..we did bareboot up and used microspikes down to combat the ice floes and slippery snow over fallen leaves...excellent views today from the summit ledges..wind chill was pretty bad enough so we almost broke down and put on face masks..snow melting down low around noon time...Lefty E
