Date of Hike: April 3rd, April 4th
Trail Conditions: Snow free, all relatively dry, a few spots in Rock Neck still wet.
Special Equipment Required: As these areas are right along the coastline, a windbreaker on cool spring days is a good idea.
Comments: - Finally, snow free hiking. Oswegatchie Hills has lots of PUD's but also a some early season views of coves, ponds, the Niantic River and lots of Mt Laurel which will be in bloom a several weeks. You can do an almost four mile loop. A great hike on it's own, it is also a good training hike for higher peaks with better views up north.
Mt. Bikers, walkers and runners are out in full season form at Bluff Point. Many dogs and dog owners out, maybe half with them on leashes as required by Bluff Point regulations.
