Date of hike: Tue. 12-01-09
Trails: Lincoln Woods, Wilderness, Bondcliff, West Bond spur.
We did an out and back from Lincoln Woods. All trails down low were snow free but with numerous muddy sections. Packed snow on the the Bondcliff Tr. to Bondcliff and mostly bare rocks across the ridge to the climb up to Bond. There were 9 of us in Hiker Ed's group and we wore snow shoes up over Bond and over to West Bond and back. The trail was unbroken but we left a nice snowshoe trail behind. We cleared some blow downs but there are still a good number remaining. Stream crossings were easy. A pretty good day with mild temps and very little wind. Snowshoes and light traction recommended.
