Trail Conditions: Wet, muddy on the Lincoln Woods and Wilderness Trails. A fresh blowdown on the LW trail and several blowdowns on the Wilderness Trail. Bondcliff Trail was also muddy with some deep areas. This from start to finish. Twinway was wet with slippy rocks, mud and mud holes. Indeed the only dry patch we had today was a short length from past the marsh pools on the Zealand Trail until further down at the root stretch.

Equipment needed: Pole(s) very helpful skirting the mud holes. Lots of water as it was quite humid for the first half of the day.

Comments: I try to hike the Bonds on "10" days and this one was pretty close. Only time I could complain was when you get off the prow on Bondcliff and I like to stretch out my arms and say "this is a perfect day on the Bonds". There were clouds covering the Franconia Range and on the Pressies! However by the time we go to Mt. Bond for a well deserved break, they had lifted and the rest of the day was gorgeous. Views spectacular, especially from Guyot. A long day, more rocks than ever and the slippery conditions required care much of the time but a great day out with Cymbidium and Paige. Met Pepper and Me going the other way on an in and out from Zealand. Far fewer hikers out than I had expected, maybe spooked by "Irene".
