Bonds & ?? on September 30

As usual, I'm way out in front planning this trip.

Looking at doing the Bonds on 09/30. That said if a couple of people go & we spot cars I'd be willing to add something else, my first preference would be Twins & descend North Twin trail but could do South Twin & Galehead or Zealand (but that would be my 3rd choice)

In bad weather (rain but not enough to cause streams to be dangerous) I'd want to do Owl's Head instead, perhaps with some car spotting variation, Gale River, Twin Brook, Linoln Brook, Franconia Brook - have to check mileage.

As of right now would be up Friday evening, maybe get an afternoon warm up in first too.

Keep me in the loop on this. Although I have something big planned for the 1st, a friend and I may be up for doing the Bonds on Saturday as well as tacking on the Twins.

Partial Bump & partial to clarify that in one PM I mentioned I was unsure how certain I was to making this trip. It's still over a month away but the kitchen pass has begrudingly been signed.

It was good enough to already decide that Owl's head is the rainy day alternative

Myfirst two choices providing a car can be spotted is Bonds, South Twin & Galehead descending Gale River, a very close 2nd, especially with more death marches & exercise this year is: Bonds, Zealand & Hale, car spot at Hale Brook, if too late to do Hale, it's only an extra mile downhill (slightly) to Hale Brook Vs. adding it & walking back up to Zealand lot.

Argh! Stupid non-hiking commitment has come up and I can't do this now! I really wanted to get to the Bonds again before the snow flies but, it's lookin' like that ain't goin' to happen.

I'm still probably going to be able to do my plans for that Sunday but more on that later...

Since this is this weekend, i thought I'd bump it up to the top. So far, we are a group of three, me & two non-VFTT'ers. They may have a couple more join us & a couple of you have asked to stay posted.

I'm planning on staying at Lyon's Friday night & as the other two are coming up that AM from Concord, right now it looks like we will head up & back from Lincoln Woods unless a car spotting option comes up.
