trails: lincoln woods trail, bondcliff trail, west bond spur, twinway, zealand spur, zealand trail, zealand road

conditions: a good packed track pretty much the whole way. lincoln woods packed out a bit rough, but a smoother track developed past the wilderness boundary on the bondcliff trail. the short scramble just below bondcliff required a bit of care and a work around has been broken out in the woods to the right of the ledges that is most likely the safest way to descend right now. good snow coverage from bondcliff to bond with minimal ice only in a few spots. the same nice track continued to west bond and from there to guyot with a trace of fresh powder on top. great conditions over zealand and down to the hut with the loosely packed track continuing all the way. well tracked on zealand trail and zealand road was occasionally rough, but generally good walking all the way to 302.
water crossings all either snowbridged or straight forward rock hops.

equipment: we wore snowshoes the whole hike. bareboots or light traction would be ok down low, but up high snowshoes are the best choice.

comments: nice traverse. some interesting views through the bonds and guyot with decent temps and light winds. there is a real nice footbed all the way through right now that made for good snowshoeing. thanks to jeremy for a great day out.
