Hiked from Spring Farm trail head on Christmas eve...parking lot caretaker off for the day.
Took the Crag trail to Ascent trail to Northeast trail to the top of the crag. Seemed like we were the first ones up there since Sundays rain...no tracks The trail was manageable with stabilicers in the a.m. but as the day went on
snowshoes were necessary as the temps rose. Views were wonderful 30 mph gusts on top of the crag.
We took the Cedar trail to Cedar drive to the Crag trail back.....took our time as my wife is four months pregnant!....three hours.
x.c. ski trails packed hard and very icy!
