Date of Hike: 12/30/08
Trail Conditions: Trail was clear, stream crossings easy, a couple of minor blowdowns. On the way up to Wilson, we lost the trail shortly after leaving the Emily Proctor lean to but it was an easy bush whack through open woods to the ridge where we picked up the trail again.
Special Equipment Required: The snow was firm but not firm enough to bare boot. Snow shoes are required.
Comments: We parked at the winter parking area on the Natural Turnpike. This is about 3.7 miles in from Rt 125 and just beyond the intersection of Stream Mill Rd. There are gates on both roads at this location and they are closed beyond the gates. Skylight Pond trailhead is a 1 mile road walk on Stream Mill Rd from this point.
