BSP - Abol Trail update 2016 opening

There had been some early indications that the trail would be open late this year. I wonder if the route will be available for winter use?

If this past year is any indication, once the snow sets in the original trail will be open for winter climbing. (I imagine the new trail isn't blazed yet, would be hard to follow in winter.)

I don't believe the old trail was closed during the winter. No reason why this winter would be any different.
