Burrows trail to summit
Trail well packed, but significant loose snow--can bareboot, but snowshoes were good, although some traction would help. Packed or crusty snow above meadow; any traction a help.
By mid-day, thin intermittent clouds were blowing by, views intermittent; just peaks of Whites visible; undercast in Vt patchy. BUT, the real beauty was the snow encrusted trees, krummholtz, rocks with blue sky overhead which presented indescribably beautiful arctic ambiance. sorry not to be able to stay longer.
Kestrel data: temp=-5 wind=20-25 wind chill= down to -34 with gusts.
