Trail Conditions: The trail is wet, with standing water, and covered in fallen leaves at the lower elevations. Higher up the mountain the trail is wet, with slowly moving water, but otherwise clear of debris. The summit is clear and generally dry, except for occasional small pools of standing water.

Special Equipment Required: Blaze orange clothing is useful at this time of year due to hunting season. Currently, the hunting of bear, moose, and deer using archery are permissible, according to the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife Calendar.

Comments: This is my first post on Views from the Top. So, I thought the best way to start would be with a report of the trail conditions for one of the most popular trails in the state. I hope this report is useful and that I will be able to contribute more in the future.
