Lonesome Lake, Around the Lake, Lonesome again, then Kinsman Ridge to summit. Kinsman Ridge, Hi-Cannon and Lonesome on return. This loop offers a little of everything: gentle trail, rugged trail, Lake views, Ledge views, bog bridges, a ridge walk and a ladder. Trails today were wet with patches of snow at the summit. Parking was easy (mid-week.) no serious blowdowns. A few "soup bowls" on upper Hi-Cannon that were difficult to get around. And ------ heed the guide book when it cautions about ice on the steep sections here!
