Hi Cannon trail is Almost snow free. Ledges, cliffhouse, ladder, and birds eye view of Lonesome Lake all snow free. There are a few snow patches after this point until Kinsman Ridge Jct. The trail is wet at times. After the Jct the K. Ridge trail is mostly snow packed, but easy to avoid any postholing. Snow shoes would be useless. The lookout tower was open. I had heard it was closed for construction. It was snowing, hard at times on top. Mostly fogged in though views of the Balls and North Kinsman would appear occasionally. Saw no one during my 1 and a half hours on top. There was a helicopter making runs to the lonesome lake hut which was kind of annoying. It was quite a spring time hike, rain, hail, sleet and snow, even the sun broke through once or twice. The tourist will have some fun when the tram opens this weekend as the Rim trail has a lot of snow in places.
