Date of Hike:10/16/11
Trail Conditions: Trail was in good condition. early in the hike there was one blowdown that hikers had already formed a new path around. At the upper ends of the Hi-Cannon Trail rocks were wet, but not slick. Footing was good and trees for added security holds were available. On the Kinsman Ridge things were wet and mucky, but rock hopping or balancing on sticks made it okay. I think if my Gortex trailrunners didn't have a hole in them my feet would have stayed dry.
Special Equipment Required: Nice day with light winds. Time for glove liners.
Comments: Saw the same moose as in Forestgnome's Whitewall Mtn. post. Snow on Franconia Ridge now.
