I was in New Hampshire for three days last weekend. On the second day, I had a blast on Carrigain, taking a sun bath on Signal ridge, admiring totally clear views. Later that evening, I was with friends at the campground, thinking I was done with hiking for the day. But, around 11pm and after many beers, someone had the great idea of going up something. Cannon was the closest and easiest one, so at midnight we were heading up the ski slopes.

We followed the chair lifts as we were walking in tall grass. All the way up we could hear a distress animal, screaming every minute for help. That was very sad… I don't want to know what finally happened.

We took the road for a while, which made the whole thing even more easy. It was so warm for night time, Dany said something like 57 F, I couldn’t believe it. It was so cold Saturday when I was on the Osceola’s !!

Very quickly we reached the summit tower, took quick pictures and headed down. It was a very fun experience, my quickest NH48 so far (2 hours total).

On my third day I enjoyed an amazing hike: Success peak. Absolutely beautiful.

Did you go up Profile from Peabody lift? that's the way Pa & i did it last Sept. - there were some tricky "holes" up towards top, would be esp. sneaky in dark...
