The trail was well broken out. Except on the ridge where there is a lot of drifting there were not many soft spots.
There are four blowdowns, one a by-pass, one a duck under or crawl under and two step overs.
Even if the trail is filled in with new snow this weekend, there is a good base on this trail and with some effort it should pack out fairly well.
Above the tree line there was a fairly strong and cold wind. Face protection and windproof clothing necessary.
The trail was full of VFTTers today. I counted 13. I kept hearing over and over "Is that Lauky?"
Congratulation to Alex of Trish and Alex on her seventh birthday. She sure is a great hiker.
