Although not an official participant in Flags on the 48, Lisa and I hiked Carrigain by way of the Signal Ridge trail to see the flag there and maybe those on other peaks.
It was a grand day with much sunshine and clear dry air. The views were glorious but, alas, neither my eyes nor the optics in my camera enabled me to see the flags on other peaks. However, I knew the flags were flying and that at each one there were kindred souls reflecting on the tragic events that will forever mark that date.
I will have pics up maybe late tonight but Ivy - you are NOT to look at them until after your own trip. For your 48th you have to experience this afresh. All I'll say is you picked a great mountain to finish on and I'll be there when you do
