Almost forgot to mention, there were only 13 entries in the past 6 years logged into the jar, but we only missed Spongebob (Adrian) by one day...

Pat and I started the New England 3K's 16 years ago with high hopes, but it sounds like everything is growing in as fast as we are slowing down.

Some species such as pin cherry actually die out as the canopy grows over them, so it goes both ways.

I always thought of the East Branch of the Pemi region as being open birch woods rather than the spruce that Henry cut, but the little spruce are growing in again and maybe in another 100 years he can come back
