Date of Hike: 10/15/2012
Trail Conditions: Wet and muddy. The new relocation of the Signal Ridge trail was pretty mud, mostly avoidable with a few awkward hops in places. No challenge with water crossings, though.
Special Equipment Required: Poles to aid with hopping over mud or gortex boots to walk right through...
Comments: Cloudy damp day for a hike. Passed two groups headed down and then had the mountain to myself for a late afternoon ascent- #43 for the season. One section of relocated trail seemed to take a turn in the opposite direction, seemed like I was backtracking... I guess I'd rather backtrack than attack a difficult water crossing. Watch the supports for the tower... if you're too involved in picture taking they can leave quite a bump on the head...
