The first 2 miles of the trail are quite muddy. Water level at the brook crossings is higher than usual. With poles you can carefully cross over. It also feels great to take your boots off and walk across in bare feet.
The rest of the trail is dry. Rocky in parts.
Hot & humid day.Thankfully most of the trail is shaded by trees. There is a nice breeze at the summit. Breathtaking views at the summit.
There are little swarms, here & there, of mosquitos and other nasty bugs that want to fly into your eyes and nose!
Helpful to have sunscreen, poles, and bug spray.
Good hike.
