Trails: Highwater, Black Angel, Carter Moriah, Rainbow, Wild River
Highwater: from Moriah Brook Trail jct., trail is well defined..numerous blowdowns, and up and down many small drainages; not much Irene damage on this section, well above the Wild River..
Black Angel: in good shape with some blowdowns and some small scrambles up near jct with Carter Moriah..
C-M: .4 no issues
Rainbow: great footing, no blowdowns really; some thick raspberry bushes etc but that's it..great views from scrub area 1 mile below Carter Dome..
Wild River: blowdowns, muddy slippery rocks (for one of us!) to Perkins Notch tentsite; trail alternated great footing with muddy, grassy areas and blowdowns..all water crossings done easily including the one at the jct with Highwater and Black Angel..some wash out from Irene approaching the Wild River campground...
Comments: cool morning and good trail conditions allowed us (me) to make decent time on these trails...great area to explore ..Lefty E, Priscilla and Michelle
