Cascade conditions?

I was hoping to go back to my beloved High Peaks this weekend. Doing something fairly simple, like Cascade. I've looked in the Trail Conditions and couldn't spot Cascade in there. Has anyone been on Cascade lately? How does it look on the trails.

Hey Fish,

I can't speak for Cascade directly but when driving towards The Garden last weekend to do Big Slide I saw 4 or 5 cars parked at the Cascade/Porter trailhead and there didn't look to be much snow on the ground. I doubt there would be enough snow to warrant snowshoes.

That being said, I just looked at the long term forecast and it's calling for rain/snow all week so conditions could definitely be different come Saturday.

The conditions on Big Slide last Saturday called for Stabilicers/Crampons only.

Uh Oh! Only pair of crampons I have only fit my koflachs, which I don't expect to take out for another month.

I might still try to go and check out the conditions. If conditions are nasty, we'll just turn around and head to the cliffhanger.
