Date hiked: March 17,2008
Trail Conditions: Perfect snow sidewalk all the way to the summit dome. Once there, there is glare ice under the powder. The last few pitches to the summit require crampons, snowshoes with just cleats won`t do it. No downed trees, no post holes.
Equipment Needed: Snowshoes, crampons for the last few pitches to the summit.
Comments: March 17 was an extraordinary day to be on Cascade Mountain. The visibility was picture postcard clear.
