Trail Conditions: Light snow cover this morning, but perfect day for a hike. Trail is solid hard packed snow with a lot of ice. Crushed granular cover was frequent from all the microspike and crampon traffic. 94 hikers signed in at the register by the end of the day.
Equipment: Do not go unless you have microspikes or better. We carried snow shoes just in case, but they were not needed. There was not much more than one foot of snow on top within the trees and hard packed ice on the trail.
Comments: We had light snow flurries throughout the day and an overcast sky that clouded in any views. Light wind was present, but was certainly bearable at the summit. Great Day!!!!
