Date Hiked: April 16, 2008
Trail Conditions: 25% dry, 30% snow pack,45% mud and running water.
Things are changing daily due to the warm temperatures but there is still considerable snowpack on the trail.
As time goes on that will turn to water and mud. The ice storm caused considerable damage on the trail with many downed trees and branches.
Special Equipment: Bareboot recommended with gaiters if you don`t want to get soaked. Any traction devices would be overkill.
Comments: Had to park on Valley Woods Road today as the snowplow bank prevented access to the parking lot.
