Just wondering how much snow the Catskills eneded up receiving from yesterdays storm. I am debating if it is worth playing hookie thursday. Here in NJ we got 6 inches.
The Catskills got much less snow than predicted. Generally 2-5" in Ulster County, 5-8" in Greene County. The northern Catskills will offer the better conditions for this week and weekend. The Helderbergs got more, 7-12".
I skied Windham today. Summit had about 12 inches or so, and at the base around 8-10 inches. As noted, the total accumulation was less than expected - but the powder turned out to be very nice.,
A few more totals: Slide Mt weather station reported 8". Belleayre Ski Center 9". Hunter Mt Ski Center 6". Near the Shawangunks: New Paltz 5", High Falls (north of Mohonk) 3".
Based on the reports I saw Greene County got anywhere from 7" to 10", Ulster got only 5" to 8", yet Schoharie, Western Albany, Otsego, and Delaware got 10" to 12". Sullivan only got about 5" to 7".
